Castaway Cay, Bahamas

Disney Cruise Line – Ships & Destinations

Disney voyages cater to families with young children. You will find Disney characters onboard interacting with the kids and the entertainment is Disney based. Currently Disney is adding to their fleet of 6 vessels. Passenger sizes have been increasing slightly from the original 2,700 passengers to 4,000 with the newer vessels. The current fleet from oldest to newest includes the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish and Disney Dream. Coming soon are the Disney Adventure and Disney Destiny. The Disney Adventure is planning to take 6,000 passengers.

Disney concentrates significantly on the Bahamas by operating out of Port Canaveral and Port Everglades in Florida. These voyages visit their private island at Castaway Cay and their private peninsula called Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Both private destinations are in the Bahamas. Disney also operates along the western coast of North America from the port in Los Angeles. They aren’t just a North American cruise line though. With their ever expanding fleet they now cover the globe with their cruise destinations.
